SLIDING GATE AUTOMATION

A swing gate may cause an obstruction if your driveway turns sharply to the left or right. Therefore, a sliding gate may be the only solution when there is limited space in your driveway area.

The installation of an electric sliding gate system is a little more involved than any other type of electric gate, but once the correct ground track and/or cantilever roller frames are installed, then the installation follows the same format as with other types of electric gates. Our trained engineers will be more than happy to visit your property to discuss which system would be the most effective solution for your needs.

There are two different types of sliding gate mechanism:

THE TRADITIONAL ROLLER-TRACKED SLIDING GATE

THE CANTILEVER SLIDING GATE

A tracked sliding gate runs on wheels along a grooved steel rail that is buried just below ground level.

A cantilever gate is counterbalanced above the ground, supported by rollers fitted to the bottom of the gate. The advantage of a cantilever gate is that you don't have to keep the track free of leaves - however, cantilever gates are generally more expensive as they require more civil engineering.

Both roller-tracked and cantilever gates can be automated using any of the CAME motors below.

BXV & BXV PLUS

BXV is the solution for automating small to medium sized gates. There are 4 24V versions, all with encoder control. A control board mounted at the top of the motor allows for ease of access following installation. Magnetic limit switches and heaters can be installed, to cope with the most critical climatic conditions.

BXV features self-diagnosis of safety devices both wired and wireless and was developed to connect with CAME Connect modules. Available in standard and rapid versions.

BKX

BKX is CAME's most advanced residential sliding motor, with a 24V DC brushless motor and native encode. Irreversible motor with maximum thrust of 800N, available in 2 versions, for gates up to 800kg and up to 1,200kg.

Control panel with graphic display, smart configuration via CAME KEY and innovative advanced functions. Smooth movement and a speed of up to 20m/min thanks to the brushless motor with maximum torque of 2Nm.

BKV

The BKV industrial sliding gate motor boasts 36V DV power for sliding gates up to 20m from 800kg up to 2500kg. New adaptive torque technology means constant speed control and adaptive power to meet changing conditions. BKV features a new manual release mechanism. Suitable for intensive use industrial applications. Supersized cable entry points and multiple DIN rail mountings allow easy installation. CAME Connect ready straight out of the box

BY - 3500T

BY3500T is the ideal solution for powering exceptionally heavy sliding gates weighing up to 3500Kg! A state-of-the-art control board provides maximum resistance to wear and total safety. The 3-phase voltage power supply to the unit ensures intensive service even under heavy duty working conditions such as armoured gates or hangar doors.
